The Chicago Warriors Hockey Program is a proud member of the USA Hockey Warrior Hockey Program and serves injured, disabled, and veteran service members throughout Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Founded in 2015 in partnership with the Chicago Blackhawks and USA Hockey, our mission is to use hockey as a vehicle for healing, camaraderie, and continued service.

Warrior Hockey is about much more than the game. It provides veterans with a supportive community that understands the unique challenges of military service and the transition to civilian life. Through hockey, our players build lifelong friendships, improve their physical and mental well-being, and rediscover the teamwork, purpose, and sense of belonging that many miss after leaving the military.

Whether you're an experienced player, returning to the ice after years away, or just beginning your hockey journey, the Chicago Warriors welcome veterans of all skill levels. Our coaches and teammates foster an encouraging environment where everyone has the opportunity to develop their skills, compete, and enjoy the game.

Our season runs from September through April and concludes with the annual USA Hockey Warrior National Championship, where we compete against Warrior teams from across the country. During the off-season, we continue with summer skates, practices, and team activities to help players stay connected and continue improving both on and off the ice.

As a nonprofit organization, the Chicago Warriors rely on the generosity of donors, sponsors, and fundraising efforts to provide affordable opportunities for veterans to participate. Those contributions help cover ice time, equipment assistance, travel, tournament expenses, and other program costs so that financial barriers never stand in the way of a veteran experiencing the benefits of Warrior Hockey.
